“It was around that time relation between Shinoda and Kasai started getting cold and they rarely talk to each other since then.” said the former staff.

This was three years ago from now. At that time, Kasai won 12th spot in the general election (2010) and selected for Media Senbatsu, but still not many people knew her.

About 5 or 6 years ago from now, she was an innocent girl. She didn’t have lots of money and was like a sweet baby. She was a sort of little sister type of girl. When she was at Gokon parties, she says things like “Honestly, I’m scared of men.” or “I haven’t had a boyfriend in my life.” yet, she pulls sleeves of men in a seductive manner. She was so cute.

She was living in Nakano district with her mom, who is a hairdresser. She love Disney Movies and used to say “Some day, I want to be a princess like her”.

Back then, when she commutes, she rides a pink bicycle to a station and hops on train.

“At the beginning, she wasn’t much pushed by management, but as time went by, she started radiating pheromones. Turning point for her came about 4 years ago. She acquired a habit of enjoying nightlife as she hung out with her seniors. That gradually transformed Kasai.”

The apartment where Kasai is living now cost 400 million yen (4 million USD) and is formerly a place where Mr.Kubota lived.

It’s equipped with private pool, sauna, gym, and concierge. It has 5 level of security locks as if it was a castle of tycoon. Her apartment is way more gorgeous than places where folks like Oshima YUko or Takahshi Minami are living.

“She wears huge sunglasses as if she is a celebrity, and shows no sense of apology when she came late. Sometimes she cancel handshake events or lessons at the last minute. But when it’s a final rehearsal, she was practicing at a place where everybody notices her, and cried like ‘No I can’t…’ ‘What should I do….’. A sympathy beggar. Many men easily fell in her trap and found her lovely.” said a person who works closely with AKB.

Despite the fuss her inappropriate image with Caucasian kid, Kasai is still enjoying thriving career, and it seems it’ll continue.

She is starring a midnight Drama series “Meshibana Deka Tachibana” from this April. She made a solo debut last December, and will release 2nd single on May.

“Many of juniors are puzzled. Why? She is not a type of person they can respect and there was that Gravure photo. She often ask juniors to have some sweets she received from fans and staffs. But because the way she talks to juniors is quite snobby, she isn’t liked by junior at all.

Until recently she had bullied Sashihara. She called Sashihara ‘Busu(ugly)’ and threw harsh words at her. ‘You’re gross, go home!’

Kasai had bullied Sashihara togetehr with Itano, but now Itano has drifted away from Kasai.

Some people doubt that Kubota is behind Kasai’s success.

“Before the shoot, she suddenly said she wants to go shopping. Of course we said ‘No, you can’t’

Then she took a cellphone out of her bag and called Mr.Kubota.

‘Hi~ It’s me~ They told I can’t go out~ Can you come here to pick me up?’

After a while, Mr.Kubota showed up and said “I will take her out. But you say ‘no’?”

No one could say ‘No’ to Mr.Kubota. And Kasai walked out with him. She acted as if she was a queen. Everyone at the scene was left speechless.” said a staff of AKB.

A journalist who covers AKB says “3 years ago, when I asked ‘Which Johnny’s boy do you like?’, she said she has no interest in kids.

‘I like them older, like around 40.’

Back then, I thought she was joking.”
