The 2nd gen audition was a surprise announcement for the members too, given out during one of their performance on local TV station.

They announced the audition in this video

They were also featured in an infotainment on the local TV station which showed the backstage of what happened after the announcement.

As a summary of the video, several members are crying from mixed feelings; some are touched by reminiscing their journey, some are claiming to feel not ready yet for second generation. Some also expressed their worries of being separated from their team (concerning the rotation that might happen after the coming of the second generation). However, they said that they will accept it whether or not they are ready as it is the tradition of 48 Family.

Progressing from the announcement, there has been some confusion among those willing to enroll which flooded the comment form of the Audition announcement. The confusion ranges from how to fill the form, how to send the form, etc. However, it seemed like it has been resolved following another instruction posted by JKT48 Management, which also added their thanks to the fans that were helping by answering some of the questions through the past comment form.
