WrapUp: SKE48 Nagoya Dome Concert – Day 1 and Day 2 Report

Finally the day for the Performance has come!

Although the gate opened at 2, fans had been lining up for the goods from the morning. The booth for goods itself opened since 8:50, and it was unsurprising how all goods were sold out, even before the gate was opened. Also, it hasn’t even reached noon when three of four booths already ran out of red KII lighstick.

The girls opened up the concert with acoustic performance of Kamigami no Ryouiki (The Territory of Gods) with Azuma Rion on piano, Furuhata Nao on Saxophone, ex-Judy and Mary guitarist Takuya on Guitar, a famous musician Kinbara Chieko on Violin, and the 1st generation member singing the song live.

One surprise leads to one another. Because the security guard that stood beside you, might as well be the girls themselves in disguise.

Or the cameraman on stage might just be your usual Matsumura Kaori with her camera, just upgraded.

And the interruption during Glory Days’ performance is actually a collaboration with renowned dancer, winner from America Got Talent, Ebina Kenichi, who was suprised at Suda Akari’s flexibility and claimed he got one of his moves from “Suda-sensei” herself.

How Rena’s unbelievably long skirt in Kareha…

… turned out to be girls.

There was also a cool Darkness duet performance with World Order

Run! Run! Run! on roller blades..

that went on not as safe as planned.

Also, we shall not forget Kizaki Yuria’s Sore Demo Suki Dayo

And how after there are girls turned into skirt, some of the research students were turned into a bowling pin for KII’s Bowling Ganbou performance.

In which Aoki Shiori’s bowling pin appearance (the first girl from the right) was so good…

someone in 2ch decided to replace the other girls’ face with hers.

Also, Kitahara Rie made a surprise appearance for Tsuyogari Dokei performance where her entrance produced loud cheers from the audience.

It was a huge success!

And during the MC, as expected, Akarin asked if all of the audiences were Akari oshi.

The first day of Nagoya Dome was also the time when the senbatsu members of the SKE48’s 14th single was revealed:

Matsui Jurina, Matsui Rena, Kizaki Yuria, Kimoto Kanon, Takayanagi Akane, Furukawa Airi, Kitagawa Ryouha, Yamada Mizuho, Azuma Rion, Shibata Aya, Furuhata Nao, Ohba Mina, Ohya Masana, Suda Akari, Umemoto Madoka, & Ishida Anna.

In the beginning of the encore, they made a surprise announcement that they would shoot the 14th single right then in Nagoya Dome, titled “Mirai to wa?” (the thing called future is?) with everyone in Nagoya Dome… in reverse.

This meant the girls would dance it backwards, like if they are supposed to run forward they will run backward. So the song itself was played in reverse, and the audience were to keep silence while waving lightstick until the shooting was over.

When you watched the MV later on, perhaps it would be good to remember it was all in reverse.

After the shooting, there was an introductions for SKE draft members, hosted by the captain Nakanishi Yuuka and the oldest member in the whole 48 group, Satou Mieko.

The concert ended with Te wo Tsunaginagara as a last song, with the girls throwing carton plastered with white papers with their messages and signs on it. Some of the girls also threw their towel to the audience. The golden ribbons that fell from the roof also had messages and signs from the girls.

and with that, without forgetting how there were other surprises in the form of shuffle, moving cars with girls singing on top of them and so on, the first day was over.
