Takahashi Minami demands members to be more ambitious

  January 28, 2013

As AKB48 received a bit critical message from Akimoto Yasushi, the general producer of the group, on the second day of AKB48 Resuest Hour Setlist Best 100, where he slammed sloppy MC of the first day, especially that “team battle thing”, as well as the announcement video- turned out to be a video for announcement of theater manager shuffle and their confidence votes – which he described “the most awful and grossest video I’ve ever seen”, AKB’s Soukantoku (general coach) Takahashi Minami also demanded members to be more ambitious on the stage.

After they wrapped up the stage for Day Three of the concert series, Takahashi Minami, with megaphone, of course, spoke to hundreds members at backstage.

“You gotta express your feelings through your own mouth.

because managers and staffs – adults – can’t see everything what you’re doing, you should say what you actually feel when you’re on the stage regardless of your position in the group.

It’s understandable, though, for new members to speak up during MC, it’s fairly important to express your feelings in words.

That will determine how good you can do when you host MC.”

Everyday during the concert series, Takahashi kept insisting that the group needs improvement in their talking skill.

“It’s going to be tough if you can’t smoothly facilitate events without help of seniors”, she said.

Most of the talk segments during this Request Hour Setlist Best 100 were hosted by likes of Minegishi Minami, Sashihara Rino, Oshima Yuko and Takahashi Minami, so called seniors, who have a lot of experience and get used to MCing.

, Takahashi talked ever passionately.

On the same day, it’s announced in June 48G (AKB48, SKE48, NMB48 and HKT48) will hold a live concert at Nissan Stadium, soccer stadium with capacity of over 70,000 audiences, the largest scale concert ever by female music act.

She urged all of 48 groups to rouse themselves on this huge concert as well.
