AKB48 June General Election for 27th Single – New Single Comes With Ballot Ticket, Pre-Order Starts Soon

As wrote in a previous post, on 25th Mar, it was announced that AKB48 will conduct the 4th general election to select members for their 27the single on 6th June at Nippon-Budokan. Total 243 members of 4 domestic teams, AKB48, SKB48, NMB48 and HKT48 are going to be candidates for the election.

It is not yet clear whether Maeda Atsuko, who just announced her graduation from the group will join the election or not. If Acchan, who won 2 of past 3 elections, won’t join it, the result of the election is gonna be truly unpredictable.

In last 3 elections, only top-40 members name were publicized, but this coming June election will choose 64 members for 4 teams of 16 members.

Ballots for this election will be packed in their new single “真夏のＳｏｕｎｄｓ　ｇｏｏｄ！ – Sounds good in Mid Summer”, which go on sale from 23rd May.
