Earlier today (4th October 2014) AKB48 unveiled their 38th Single, Kibou Teki Refrain (Wishful Refrain / 希望的リフレイン) during the TV program All Star Kanshasai (All Star Thanksgiving).
Of course, prior to the broadcast, countless commercials related to the program have been pinpointing this – so it’s not much of a surprise by the time the single rolled out.
The Senbatsu lineup consisting of 32 members and Watanabe Mayu / Miyawaki Sakura Double Center was announced at the end of the 5th Janken Tournament last month.

AKB48 38th Single - Kibou Teki Refrain
Of course, they didn’t go to the single straight off the bat.
AKB48 performed a medley of Flying Get, Heavy Rotation and Koisuru Fortune Cookie to tease us before the main event starts, also to raise the tension of the viewers on the studio.
Also the brilliant camera work by the TBS staff managed to expose the wonderful TanoTomu pair!
This strategy seems to work, with some studio viewers obviously getting hyped up!
Well, without further delay, please enjoy the performance of Kibou Teki Refrain (and the medleys) below!!!
