Robbery at AKB48 Shake-Hand Event

Yesterday afternoon, a 19 y/o man was robbed of his collection of 500 photographs of members of AKB48 after being choked his neck in a toilet at AKB48’s shake-hand event held in Tokyo-BigSite.

According to the Sponichi report, the victim had no injury. Tokyo-Wangan-Police recognized this as a robbery and is investigating the incident. The police revealed that the robbery talked to the victim “How about exchange the photos” and brought him into the toilet with him. Witness spoke that there seemed to be another man in the toilet waiting for them came in.
Yesterday, there were total about 240 member of the group, including Atsuko Maeda, and Yuko Oshima at the Toky-Bigsite, where the event was held.

Trivia:

In mid 1990’s, when AirMax boom was at it’s peak there also were frequent robberies of Air Max 95 in Japan. It was sold at a premium price, and was said to be dangerous to go outside with putting them on in city area.
