Gingham Check Press Conference

On 11th June Hits record held a press conference to officially launch JKT48 6th single, Gingham Check, this press conference attended by all of the member who has been chosen by the fans through sousenkyo (general elections)

I was there to watch the concert. Let me share some moments (and also some surprise announcements) that happen during the concert

Team KIII Anniversary Challenge : 1000 fans or no party

One of the biggest surprise of the night is an announcement made form Team KIII. After performing Korogaru Ishi ni Nare, Shinta Naomi, Team KIII captain told the audiences that they have an announcement. A VTR shown about team KIII anniversary concert which will be held on 25th June. But there’s one challenge for them. They Have to Sold 1000 tickets or their Anniversary Concert Will Be Cancelled.They have only ten days until 22nd June to sold the tickets. After that every team KIII members express their feeling about how important the concert to them and hoping that the audiences will support them

While this article was being written, Team KIII has already successfully completed the challenge. They managed to sold out not only 1000 but 1200 in just five days so their concert will be held on schedule. Congrats for Team KIII should they have an amazing concert

Introducing, Team KIII's Chikano Rina

The concert surprise continues as Chikano Rina, JKT48 new kaigai members officially made her debut. She take the co-center role with Melody in RIVER (usually kinal who pair with her) and shout loud “JKT!!!! 48” at the begining of the song.

IMHO her performance was flawless – her 7 years experience with AKB48 were shown in her dance moves. There’s a spine-chilling moment when the audiences called her name (Chikano!… Chikano!… Chikano!) after a VTR about her career in AKB48 was shown and that made her surprised and somewhat speechless. She then later participated in couple songs. At the end of the concert, Jiro Inao (General Manager of JKT48) announced that she will be joining Team KIII

On Monday, 16th June 2014 Team KIII Seishun Girls Show. Chikarina officially debuted in the theater, although she didn’t perform only introduced to the theater audiences

Rena Nozawa Last Activity as JKT48 Member

The concert not only to introduce Chikano Rina but also a farewell concert to Rena Nozawa, who has been permanently transfered to team B AKB48. In one MC session,she read the letter which conveys her feeling.

I’m really happy you still remember me. Today is perhaps the last time I’ll be here as JKT48 team J member.

Three years ago, I still can’t speak Indonesian. I’m still a shy girl back then, didn’t have any character whatsoever, I’m just your ordinary 13 years old girl.

I really really love JKT48 that changed me.

Back then, since I didn’t know how to speak Indonesian, I always one step behind compared to the others. It was hard the first time to be honest.

As a 1st generation member, there’s a lot of happiness in JKT48 as well as hardship. Due to many hardship, there was a time when I felt that I can’t continue no more.

I realize that I was weak, but the fans in Indonesia keep on supporting me. When I felt sad, I got letters and drawings by the fans. I’m really happy.

I put them in a tidy collection case. And now, whenever I feel down, I always read them over and over again. Sometimes I even cried when I read it.

I’m really happy that I’ve met you all. I feel that I don’t deserve this happiness. Thank you very much for supporting me who can’t even sing well, can’t dance well, and even can’t do MC properly.

Thank you very much for supporting me who don’t have anything to be proud of to be at this point.

Because of you, I can do my activities well in Japan. But I’m sorry that I can’t do my activities in Japan as well as I did in Jakarta.

Even though I…(choked) Even though I promised to do my activities well in Japan so that Japanese will know more about JKT48 and Indonesia. I could do little for my promise. I’m really sorry..

But with that said, there was a Calendar Senbatsu in JKT48 and I thought I would never be in it since I’m no longer in Jakarta. But when I heard my name being called last, I’m so happy. There’s still a lot of you who supported me.

In Japan, I swear myself to become senbatsu member so that I can repay you with my thanks. I failed in this year sousenkyo, but next year, I’ll try my best to become a senbatsu member.

My tears are welling up when I know that there are fans from Indonesia who voted for me. Thank you very much from the deepest part of my heart.

Three years ago, I didn’t have many friends at school, but now, there are lots of friends around me. I’m so happy.

I really love JKT48. The fans, the staff and of course, the members.

I told you earlier that this will be my last appearance as JKT48 member, but next time, I will be back as AKB48 team B member.

Because, just like Haruka-san, I want to do my future activities back in Indonesia. I want to keep on fighting for my role now, and I’ll make sure that one day, I’ll be back here again. So, please wait for me.

The day after the concert, she made a surprise appearance in the theater to perform Pajama Drive with Trainees White Team as she performed Tenshi no Shippo, her old unit song when she was still in JKT48 (In Team B Pajama Drive she perform Kagami no naka Jean d’arc, which is also her old unit).

During the MC, she told the audience that Pajama Drive will be her first and last setlist in JKT48. Good luck for Rena!

JKT48 1st Nationawide Tour Announced

Last announcement that happend in the concert that’s JKT48 will start their nationwide concert, the concert will be held in 34 cities in 34 provinces. Kickoff concert will be held at Surabaya on Sunday 22 June 2014 with all members will be performing, making this concert the biggest out of town concert ever.
