Note: Appearance is merely one factor of their whole humanity. This post is supposed to be an introduction for those who are not familiar with AKB or Nogizaka, as well as jut fun appreciation of their beauty.

In Japanese online communities, people seemed to reach a conclusion that Nogizaka46 has cuter members than AKB48. Some says only Haruna Kojima, and Mariko Shinoda can be stack up to Nogizaka.

This is a face to face comparison between AKB48 and Nogizaka46, picking 1 member from each groups who looks like each other.

If there’s a public poll for this battle, which is of course an awful thought, the result would be obvious. But wait! What leads AKB48 to their present front position is their attitude and their personalities. In that sense Mariko’s easy-going personality, which is kinda like our dearest Senpai in high-school days.  She is definitely a girl who you want to be friends with. Mariko is an essential figure in AKB, she is Good leader, and Good elder sister of the group.
