Bubble Flop was founded in 2009 in New York, and it’s pop design with girly motif such as fruits, sweets or cute sports items has gained popularity among young American women. In advence of it’s launch in Japan, the brand already debut itself in several major markets in Asia, including Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea and Malaysia, selling over 90,000 items a year.
Bubble Flop will deliver 6 models plus one model directed by Tomomi Itano, named “Tom Model” which has white color for their Spring/Summer collection. During the event, Itano Tomomi talked about the design of the sandal. “It was difficult to decide the color, because black is also my favorite color, but I chose white since it matches variety kinds of styles.” “With my favorite Swarovski crystal beads and Macaron motif scatterd on it, I am thrilled with it’s really Kawaii design. In addtion, my sign will be stamped onto the heel.” Tom Model is expected to go on sale Mid June at ¥6,000(approx $72).
