Hi everyone, it’s Kev here from the WrapUp team!

As you all know, our friends at New School Kaidan ( link here and here ) recently did an awesome job getting together fans from all around the world to submit a few seconds of their precious time to dance in tune to AKB48’s latest single, Koisuru Fortune Cookie!

AKB48 Officials were obviously very impressed with this, and decided to put up the awesome video ( it’s too awesome I have to say this twice ) on the Official Youtube Channel!

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the song ( a mere 3 minute and 18 seconds! ) obviously not many fans got their chance to represent their countries (or their fanclubs) and thus felt that they missed their chance to do so.

Well… the team here at WrapUp thinks that if only there’s a second take, then maybe, just maybe, more fans from more countries could be included in a second version of Koisuru Fortune Cookie, Fan Version!

Call it a stroke of luck, I happen to have taken a short course on video-editing ( I’m NOT a pro, mind you ) and I think I might be able to put together some 20 – 30 videos and sync it to a background song… so with this post, I hereby announce that…

Koisuru Fortune Cookie – Wrapped Up Version, IS NOW TAKING SUBMISSIONS!!!

The process that New School Kaidan guys used is obviously working, so I’m going to blatantly use the same submission-taking process that they used.

First and foremost, this project is meant for fans who missed their chance with NSK’s version a few weeks ago, so if you happen to be one of the lucky ones that were featured in the Fan version video (above), then we will have to prioritize other entries above yours. We’re REALLY sorry that this wasn’t communicated earlier and we hope that this won’t discourage you to keep supporting this fan project!
Length of each video submission will be around 4 – 5 seconds long, please allow extra 1 seconds before and after for easier editing process (so we can roll this out faster!)
Please comment in the comment section below to book the time-slot that you want to be featured in
Video submissions should be sent to with
“[KFC Submission] *firstname* (*country*)” as the subject line

So for example, if I were to submit a video submission, I will put
“[KFC Submission] Kevin Mario (Australia)” as my email subject

In this version, I will try to include as many different countries as possible so that the 48 girls will know that they have fans from ALL over the GLOBE!

Also, it would be a good idea if you upload the file to a cloud sharing service like Dropbox and then share the link in the email instead of submitting the raw file itself!
WeTransfer (www.wetransfer.com) is also a good alternative to send big files (try not to make them too big though, anything between 30MB – 100MB if possible!)
In the email, please specify the time-slot where you want to be featured, your name, your oshimen and where you are ( country / location / fanclub you’re representing ) – please let me know if you would like to remain anonymous
Final format would be something like this:
(00:00 – 00:16) Kevin – Haruka Nakagawa – Perth, Australia
Props are encouraged as long as they are within limits of decency
HAVE FUN! Your moves don’t have to be 100% perfect, make mistakes!

Like NSK’s version, I will also leave 00:00 – 00:16 as the Center position.
If you would like audition for this position, I recommend that you record 2 videos, one for the center audition, and the other one for a normal submission. This way, if your Center video didn’t make it, at least your normal submission will still be considered as an entry!
I’m thinking of making a collage at the end with everyone holding up a poster/photo/merchandise of their oshimen or something, so if you’re interested to be included in the collage, please also submit a 10 second footage or even just a picture of you holding said item 🙂
I’ll close the submission on the 26th of August (Monday) or if I think I have enough materials to do up the whole MV, of course, this will be communicated here in this post

PS:
Just like everyone else, I have a very busy day job ~~and a girlfriend who sulks everytime I do anything that has to do with AKB48 (lol)~~ so I can’t be checking this post every minute of every day, but I will definitely update this post every day with the submissions that I’ve got on that day!!!

PPS:
I cannot guarantee that the official channel will feature this video (when it’s done) like what they did with NSK’s, in fact, they probably won’t, but we’re doing this to show our love for the 48 girls, and I think at the end of the day that’s what counts 🙂
