New Cup Noodle CMs (‘REAL’ Season 2) [Updated]

今年の総選挙は・・違いますね。
｢優子が1位になったらつまんないよね｣とか
｢劇的じゃないよね｣とか言われる私は
何なんだろうって思ったんですよね
で、実際に1位になってみて・・全部忘れました。んふふ（笑）
全部はねのけました。
他の人がとやかく言おうが関係ないっていう風に思いましたね

This year’s General Election was different. People said things like, “it wouldn’t be interesting if Yuko came 1st”, and “it’s not dramatic.” Which made me think of who I actually was. 
Then I actually came 1st, which made me forget all about those things. (laughs) All of it was brushed aside. I found that all the things that people said about me had nothing to do with it.

結構へこみやすいので、本番の後とか一人反省会をやるんですけど。そこで、一回とことんへこむんですよ、本当にダメだった時は。一回へこむのがいいのか悪いのか分かんないんですけど、また一から頑張ろうって思えるので、プラスになるんじゃないかなって思いますね。

I can easily feel down. Like after performances, I reflect upon things by myself. There was a time where I was truly down, when I did real badly. Feeling down once… I don’t know if that is a good or bad thing, but I thought that I should start and work hard from scratch. So I now think that it was a good thing.

よくなんか、そういう感動した泣きたい時あるし、嬉しいことも多いし。でも一つ一つが表情に出ないんですよね。なんでか分かんないんですけど、無じゃないんだって、私は無じゃなくて、一応感情はあるんですよって。出せたらいいなって。

There were times when I got real emotional and wanted to cry. There have also been many happy moments. But those individual things don’t show up on my face. I don’t know why. People have said to me that I’m not nothing, and that I do have emotion in my face at moments. So I’m glad when it does show.

人生の一番輝いてる時期なんじゃないかなって思うぐらい、本当になんか楽しくて。きっと将来思い出したら、すっごい泣いちゃうんだろなってぐらい、本当になんか、今が…なんか…なんだろ、全然終わって欲しくないなってずっと思ってて。ずっとこのままがいいなぁってすごい思うぐらい、今が楽しい。

It is so fun that it makes me think that this is the period where we shine the most (she is 19 years old). To the extent that it will surely make me cry in the future, the present is really… I really don’t want it to end, I’ve always been thinking that. The present is so fun that it even makes me hope that it will always continue on like this.

普段から頑張りすぎないで、自分の身の丈の以上の事しないんで、なんか、いざと言う時だけが頑張るみたい。それすごい、なんていうんだろう、なんか一番楽しく出来ます。
I don’t normally work too hard. I don’t do things that are beyond me, so it’s like I only work hard when it comes to crunch time. And that is incredibly… how to put it? It allows me to have the most fun.

Kojima Haruna, a 24 year old’s “REAL”

すごい厳しいおじいちゃんだったので、厳しいっていうか、なんていうんだろう。すごいちっちゃい頃から、「変な男に騙されないように気をつけろ！」みたい言われたから、芸能界みたいなのお仕事してるって言ったら、絶対止まられるっしょう、怒っちゃうって。あのう、お母さんと、おばあちゃんたちと話し合いで決まったんです。言わない方がいいって、AKBって事を。それでずっとおじいちゃんには就職できて、美容専門学校の受付をしているって言ったんですよ。
その言った当時はまだAKBも全然テレビとか出てなかったんですけど、ちょっとずつテレビに出るようになって、おじいちゃんテレビが好きだから、ずっと夕方とかテレビ見てて。そしたら、「小嶋陽菜って子がテレビに出てるんだけど、同姓同名で『はるな』っていう名前流行ってるんだね」みたいな、言われて。その時はまだそうやって言ってたんですけど、母がもうこの嘘ついてばれちゃうかな、言うねって言って、AKBで活動しているみたいなことをおじいちゃんに言ったんですけど、そしたら、すごく喜んでくれて。で、今も録画したり、雑誌とかいっぱい見てくれたり、応援してくれてます。

My Gandpa was really strict. Well rather than the word strict… how to say? When I was small he used to say like, “Be careful so as to not get deceived by weird boys!” If I said that I was in the entertainment circle, he would absolutely stop me and get angry. 

So my mother and grandmas decided at a discussion that it would be better if I didn’t mention about doing AKB to him. And so I was always telling my Grandpa that I managed to find a job as a receptionist of a beauty school.

When I told him that, AKB wasn’t even on TV at all, but after a while, little by little, we started to appear on TV. My grandpa likes watching TV, so he would always watch it at night. And then he said like, “There was a girl named Kojima Haruna that appeared on TV, with the same name and surname. The name “Haruna” must be popular, right?”
We did it like that during those days, but my mother was wondering that if we kept on lying, we’d get found out, and so she said to me “Just tell him, okay?” 
So I told my grandpa that I was doing activities as an AKB member. Which then made him really happy. And now he records videos of me, reads a lot of my magazines, and also supports me.

Last week we informed that we had posted the last CM from the second season of the “REAL” CMs, but the truth is that we didn’t squeeze out one of them which had an interview with Oshima Yuko. And for the prior openings we made 2 other versions. It will be broadcast on TV, but first let us have you people please watch and enjoy it!

私達にとって、ファンというのは、本当にないとダメですよね。でも背負ってるのは重いものじゃなくて、その光を背負ってるような、すごい輝いている物を大切に背負ってるような感覚でいるから、自分にとって、ファンの人は、自分を照らしてくれる光。

For us, our fans… it would be terrible if we didn’t have any. But what we shoulder is not something heavy, I have a sense that I’m so preciously shouldering an incredibly shiny object, like shouldering a light. So that’s why to me… the fans are a light that shine on me.

辛かった事とかもありますけど、悔しい思いとか。やっぱ、いい事って勝るんですよね。今のこの喜びとか、嬉しさを感じるためのものだったんだと思うと、痛みとかって忘れちゃう。だからたぶん、これからも続けちゃうなと思いますけど。

There are painful things, like things which make you frustrated and disappointed. But indeed, the good things outweigh it, right? Once I think that all of it was in order to experience the joy and happiness that I’m currently experiencing, I forget about the pain and stuff. So after this I probably will also want it to continue on like this.

将来の夢はずっと有名人。みんなが知ってる、好きでも、嫌いでもいいから、みんなが知ってる人になりたくて、バラエティが段々段々出させてもらって行くうちに、あっ なんか、一人でも喋られるようになってきたのも嬉しい。でも歌も好きだし、ラジオも好きだし。欲を言えば、そのマルチなオールマイティな人になりたいです。

My (near) future dream was always to be a famous person. Someone everyone knows, be it someone people like or not, I want to become someone everyone knows. And among gradually appearing on variety programs, I like… have also reached a point where I can speak by myself, which I’m also happy about. But I also like to sing, and also to do radio. If I can wish for more, I would want to become a multi-talented and all mighty person.
